I started my hospitality career 27 years ago in the kitchens of the Mount Nelson Hotel in Cape Town, a member of the leading hotels of the world, to complete my practical studies in food service management. In 1998 I joined Protea Hotels, one of the largest hotels groups in Africa to commence a 4 year internship in hotel management.

Following successful completion, I took up the position of Purchasing and cost control manager and worked my way up to Group Procurement Manager for Protea Hotels. Following the acquisition of Protea Hotels by Marriott International, I took up the position of Senior Manager Procurement Sub Sahara Africa for Marriott International, working closely with our offices and hotels in Dubai.

In 2019 I took up the position of Senior Manager procurement for the UKI at Marriott International and subsequently joined Kew Green Hotels as Director of Procurement and Cost. I hold a Degree in Supply Chain Management from Regent Business School (cum laude) and I am in the process of completing my CMI Level 7 Masters Senior Leadership programme.
