Our leaders recently gathered for our annual conference & awards in Birmingham.
We recently hosted our Back2Business Fit4Future conference and our 2021 Outstanding People awards at Holiday Inn Birmingham M6J7.
It was so inspiring to gather with our leaders, award nominees and supporters for an innovation-fuelled two days!
Bringing together a unique blend of experience, expertise and sprinkled with lots of fun, our CEO, Chris Dexter, opened the conference with highlights of our performance, before we delved into more details of our recently launched new brand and unveiled our re-defined values (more to come on this so watch this space).
With one eye on tomorrow, we reviewed our progress on our Race to Net Zero, which has included planting a tree for every employee with Rewards Earth, launching a low impact guest guide and lots of sustainable property enhancements. Our partner, Planet Mark then hosted some educational breakout sessions for our teams.
We were thrilled to welcome two guest speakers to share their insights. Paul Proctor, Vice President Commercial - Europe, IHG Hotels & Resorts, who focused on initiatives to be fit for future. Following on from Paul, we then welcomed Penny Mallory, former British Rally Championship driver, the first woman in the world to drive a Ford Focus World Rally Car, and a leading authority and keynote speaker on Mental Toughness.
Celebrating our Outstanding People, our glitzy awards evening celebrated the success of our people throughout the business. Special congratulations go to all of our worthy winners.
