Kewlaborate - Inside the Kew Green Hotels Leadership Conference & Awards 2026

Celebrating our teams, spotlighting our stars, and aligning behind our 2030 vision as one unified business.

At Kew Green Hotels, we recently gathered our leaders and colleagues for our annual Leadership Conference and Awards. This dynamic two-day event was a fantastic platform to celebrate our people, strengthen our bonds, and set our sights firmly on our 2030 North Star Goal.

Throughout the gathering, the spirit of Kewlaborate took centre stage - reminding us of the incredible momentum we generate when we share ideas, support one another, and move forward as a single, cohesive team.

We kicked off our first day by diving into IHG Giving for Good Month, with colleagues rolling up their sleeves to construct bee hotels. It was a rewarding, hands-on way to champion local biodiversity while collaborating outside the boardroom.

In the afternoon, our senior leadership team took to the stage to outline our strategic roadmap, sharing our 2030 ambitions and detailing how every individual plays a vital role in our collective journey.

We were also thrilled to welcome esteemed international guests: our owners from CTG Hotels who made the journey from Bangkok, alongside Scott Walton, Managing Director of SKG Hotels from Thailand. Their presence highlighted the robust partnerships and strong familial ties underpinning our global network.

As evening fell, we turned our focus to individual and team brilliance at the Kew Green Hotels Awards.

Out of more than 80 exceptional nominations, 20 standout colleagues were honoured with an award and a deeply personal touch - a star registered in their name. We toasted their dedication before capping off the night with an energetic silent disco and plenty of enthusiastic singing!

Day two brought fresh perspectives, starting with an interactive session from experienced leadership and development specialist Gary Churton, who explored effective teamwork and modern management dynamics.

He was followed by Professor Kevin Fong OBE, consultant anaesthetist, UCL professor, science broadcaster and expert in space and extreme-environment medicine. Drawing on his high-pressure experiences with NASA and frontline medicine, Kevin delivered gripping insights into risk management, rapid decision-making, and high-stakes collaboration.

The afternoon transitioned into friendly competition with a lively team-building challenge. After fierce regional face-offs, Region 4 triumphed to claim the winning title.

In an exciting first for us, the entire event was hosted inside a beautiful marquee, proving just how creatively our spaces can be reimagined to deliver unforgettable large-scale experiences.

None of this incredible milestone would have been possible without our wonderful event sponsors. Their backing enabled us to curate an inspiring, memorable few days for everyone involved.

Reflecting on our time together, the event was a powerful affirmation of our shared drive, community values, and future vision. Propelled by this momentum, we step forward into our next chapter fully united and ready to achieve our 2030 ambitions.
